Scandent Learning offers individualized, flexible learning support, mentoring, and tutoring – provided by experienced teachers. Tutoring can be provided ONLINE.

**Short-term or ongoing tutoring is available.**

Scandent offers educational support and tutoring in the following areas:

  • Biology
  • Environmental Science
  • English
  • Reading & Writing
  • Test prep – including SAT, ACT, GRE, and subject tests

Scandent tutoring/mentoring offers typically offers in-person tutoring primarily in Northbook, but, for the duration of the coronavirus concerns, we’ll be offering ONLINE services.


Our rate is $100/hour.

Our tutors:

Kerrick Goodman-Lucker is an experienced educator with a Masters in museum/experiential education. He has taught social studies, English, engineering, Japanese, and life skills. He also has a Permaculture (urban agriculture and sustainability) certification and experience in nonprofit management.

Rae Goodman-Lucker is a licensed, National Board Certified teacher, with a Masters in biology and 12 years of classroom teaching experience. She has also worked as a tutor, a director of wilderness and nature programs, a director of youth programs, a homeschool parent, and an educator providing classes for homeschool students. She has taught preschool through medical school students, and most of her experience has been with high school students. She has taught science, math, Spanish, consumer math, and a variety of electives.
